Arrival by bus and train
At the Bochum main station, transfer to the U35 “Campus” line in the direction of Hustadt. If you arrive by ICE, your ticket is usually also valid for the trip to the Ruhr-University. If this is not the case, buy a Price Level A ticket (3,10 €) at the Bogestra ticket machine.
Get off at the 6th stop (“Gesundheitscampus”); the journey there takes about 10 minutes. Take the elevator or the stairs on the right in the direction of travel. From the bottom of the stairs, walk towards a traffic circle. Cross at the crosswalk and keep left. Then follow the street (Max-Imdahl Str.), going straight ahead (approx. 10 minutes), which will take you directly to the GD building.
From the main entrance of the GD building, walk towards a staircase. Via this staircase you will reach the foyer area one floor down, Level 04, which is where the conference rooms are located.
Arrival by car
To arrive via the Bochum/Witten freeway junction (A43 and A44), take A43 Exit 19 (Bochum-Querenburg) and follow the signs for “Ruhr- Universität-Mitte/West” and then “Ruhr-Universität-West.” Free parking spaces are available in front of the GD building in the car parks P12 and 13; follow the signs “Ruhr-Universität-West.”
The GD building is located at this parking lot. Leave the car park and turn right. In front of you is the GD building. It is the outermost building and, in contrast to the other buildings, flatter and anthracite colored. Use the main entrance and then the elevator or the stairs down to the foyer area on Level 04, which is where the conference rooms are located.
